In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
I have compiled all these, from various sources to instill fear in me, on the repercussions of leaving out one of the most important aspect in our lives; our daily prayers. Please reflect.
“Say your prayers before prayers for you are being said.”
Those who do not say their prayers of:
Fajr’
The glow of their face is taken away.
A person was mentioned before the Prophet (pbuh) and he was told that person had kept on sleeping till morning and had not got up for his prayer. The Prophet (pbuh) said, “Shaitan has urinated in his ears.”
The Prophet (pbuh) said, “If any one of you rouses from sleep and performs the ablution (wudu’), he should wash his nose by putting water in it and then blowing it out thrice, because shaitan has stayed in the upper part of his nose all the night.”
Zuhur
The blessing of their income is taken away.
Asr’
The strength of their body is taken away.
“He who misses his Asr’ prayers is as if he has lost his wife, children and all his wealth”
(Sahih Muslim)
Maghrib
They are not benefected by their children.
Isya’
The peace of their sleep is taken away.
“If people only knew what blessings are in the Fajr’ and Isya’ prayers, they would come to them, even if they had to crawl.”
(Bukhari and Muslim)
The Prophet (SAW) said that those who does not pray will receive 15 punishments from Allah (SWT).
6 Punishments in this world.
Allah takes away blessings from his age. (Makes his life unfortunate)
Allah does not accept his doas.
Allah erases the features of good people from his face.
He will be detested by all creatures on earth.
He will not be in the doas of the pious.
Allah does not award him for his good deeds.
3 Punishments while dying.
He dies humiliated.
He dies hungry.
He dies thirsty such that even if he drinks the water of all seas, his thirst will not be quenched.
3 Punishments in the Grave.
Allah tightens his grave such that his chest ribs come over one another.
Allah will pour on him fire with ambers.
Allah will send a snake called The Brave, The Bold which hits him from morning to afternoon and with every strike, he will sink 70 yards deeper.
3 Punishments on the Day of Judgment.
Allah sends someone to accompany him to hell, pulling him on the face.
Allah gives an angry look such that the flesh on his face fall down.
Allah judges him strictly and orders him to be thrown in hell.
…and speaking of hell, what the people of hell will drink,
“…(they) will be given to drink boiling water, such that it will cut their bowels (into pieces)..”
Surah Muhammad:Verse 15
Remember…
“Who are the learned? Those who practice, what they know”
(Bukhari)
“Muhammad is the apostle of Allah; and those who are with him are strong against Unbelievers, (but) compassionate amongst each other. Thou wilt see them bow and prostrate themselves (in prayer), seeking Grace from Allah and (His) Good Pleasure. On their faces are their marks, (being) the traces of their prostration.“
Surah Al-Fath:Verse 29
